Ine Schriever

Ine Schriever resides and works in Horst, Netherlands. As art-teacher she is connected to a secondary school. For the moment also she teaches the Persian mystical language and –calligraphy. Already during her study at Art-school she came in contact with different techniques of calligraphy. Out of years of (private-) education and from a strong personal affinity she developed a composition of calligraphy on the principle of old traditions. Her calligraphic paintings searches for new ways and possibilities and tries to give old traditions new (mystical) expressiveness.
Beside working in her studio she also has the commissions. Such as the paintings and the painted leaded glass windows. As well as for private principals as concerns as municipals.

Curriculum Vitae

Ine Schriever, painter and calligrapher, has been living in Horst, the Netherlands.
She studied graphical techniques, painting and calligraphy, under direction of amongst others the well-known calligrapher Chris Brand, at the Art Academy in Breda.
Ine Schriever had a lot of exhibitions at home and abroad. For instance in Amsterdam, Nijmegen, Arnhem and in Tokyo and Kawasaki in Japan and in Levanger, Norway Also she had a TV portrait by Netherlands television (1992) and several reviews in magazines and journals.
She gave courses painting at the Liberal Academy and many workshops. For the moment she teaches arts and philosophy at a secondary school.
For several years Ine Schriever studied with Dr. Seyed Azmayesh. He accompanies her on the Sufi-path and taught her the secrets of the Persian mystical language and calligraphy which are based on the inner rhythms of the mystical poems. Dr. Seyed Azmayesh authorized her to teach the mystical language and calligraphy, called “Simia”.
Also Ine Schriever lectures about this subject for instance at the University of Seville, in London and in the Netherlands. In 2005 she had her first exhibition about “Simia”, in Arcen, the Netherlands.
Her precense as calligrapher and mystical painter managed by the University of Seville was mentioned by BBC, Sharg and a lot of journals, television and universal press. She produced a DVD - with the paintings and special composed music by Anne-Marie van den Bercken.
